GREEN FUTURE, SKILLED WORKFORCE:APPRENTICESHIPS


The Government is spending $95.6 million over the next 9 years to support 10,000 New Energy Apprenticeships. The program will see eligible apprentices who started on or after January 1st 2023 receive up to $10,000 over the course of their apprenticeship to relieve cost of living pressures.

The Australian Government launched the New Energy Apprenticeships program as part of its commitment to net zero emissions.

Apprentices

Full-time apprentices may be eligible to claim up to a maximum of $10,000. This is paid in intervals of $2,000 at 6, 12, 24 and 36-month intervals, and on completion of their apprenticeship. Part-time apprentices will receive half of the above payments ($1,000) and be able to claim up to a maximum of $5,000 at the same intervals. 

Employers

If you employ a New Energy Apprentice, you may be eligible for up to $15,000 in wage subsidies.
